Congratulations to our Q3 Good Neighbor Tina McDonough!

September 28, 2021

Building community and being the hope. That’s the foundation of the work that our Q3 Good Neighbor Tina McDonough, REALTOR® at RE/MAX Select, and her team who are active year-round not only fighting cancer, but also helping patients and their families.

Tina began participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-day 60-mile walk for her friend who passed away due to breast cancer in 2007. During the same year, she formed her own walking team – Valley Girls & Guys – to raise money and further support Susan G. Komen’s 3-Day Walk for a Cure, which went from four walkers to nearly hundreds, becoming the largest team in the nation for Susan G. Komen. In 2014, Valley Girls & Guys officially became a 501(c)3 non-profit to focus on all types of cancers and has raised over $7 million since 2007.

“By forming Valley Girls & Guys, we have provided a place where people can come together and do something for the greater good and an organization as a resource for people going through the cancer journey, treatment and survivorship to come to along with their co-survivors, family and friends,” said Tina. “We/I will continue to be the hope for others every single day.”
