WA Secretary of State Unveils New Voter Portal
March 20, 2024
Washington’s Secretary of State launched a new voter portal just before the presidential primary to help those who recently relocated to the state, or for newly eligible voters get registered online.
The portal may be viewed in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Somali, Russian or Korean.
Upcoming elections include:
- Special Election, April 23 (register to vote online by April 15)
- Primary Election, August 6 (register to vote online by July 29)
- General Election, November 5 (register to vote online by October 28)
Eligible voters can register in person at the Elections Office on the same day as an election. Those who are already registered automatically have an account with VoteWA.
In addition to being able to register to vote, the site may be used to update an existing registration, check the status of a ballot, and sign up for text messages.
The WA Secretary of State’s office is the official source for information about elections in Washington state.
Seattle King County REALTORS® will publish an endorsed candidate guide for the Primary Election in mid-June 2024 and for the General Election in mid-October 2024.
