Mike Spence to be honored as “lawyer of the Year”

Michael “Mike” Spence, retained legal counsel for Seattle King County Realtors® and advisor to several real estate brokerages, is among 13 honorees selected by the Puget Sound Business Journal for its 2024 CRE (Commercial Real Estate) Leadership Awards program.
Spence, a licensed real estate law instructor for more than three decades, is being recognized as Lawyer of the Year. He will be honored at an awards ceremony on September 19 in Seattle and featured in the September 20 print edition of the Business Journal.
The 13 honorees were selected from nominations submitted to the Business Journal outlining their achievements and background. The publication said this year’s recipients “have a profound influence on how Washington companies do business.”
Spence will again serve as instructor/moderator for the annual Battle of the Barristers continuing education event featuring attorneys Annie Fitzsimmons, Lars Neste, Chris Osborn, and Erin Varriano. Registration for the October 17 event opened on August 2.
